A 12,000 sq ft Lodge-style clubhouse with “grand hall” serves as the central hub of the community. A gathering place for neighbors and events such as concerts, holiday parties, social clubs, and weddings! This grand clubhouse includes a large dining space, a catering kitchen, a Summit Pub Room where residents enjoy “Pub night”, “Trivia Night”, and evenings socializing together on the expansive deck overlooking stunning pasture and long range mountain sunset views. On the lower level there is a fitness center, game room with golf simulator, shuffleboard, and more, as well as a community library and plenty of space with large hi-definition TVs for watching movies and sports events.

Soaring timber frame ceilings, a massive stone fireplace, and warm chandelier light create a space that feels both grand and genuinely inviting. Cozy seating areas make it easy to settle in, whether you're catching up with neighbors or watching the sun dip behind the mountains through sweeping vista views that stop you in your tracks. Spacious and welcoming, the room opens right out onto a generous veranda, where long-range mountain views provide a beautiful backdrop. Enjoy a new USTA hard surface blue tennis court outfitted for both Pickleball and Tennis with incredible pasture views and long range sunset views. Residents enjoy Pickleball club and tournaments!

Some of the best moments at Bear Wallow Mountain happen right here in the Summit Pub Room. Take a seat at the long bar, enjoy those sweeping long-range views, and let the warmth of the fireplace and a great record on the turntable set the tone. With a kegerator on tap, TVs for the big games, and plenty of bar and table seating, it's the perfect gathering spot for residents — whether you're winding down the day or enjoying one of the many events that make life here so special.

The fitness center at Grand Highlands at Bearwallow Mountain is conveniently located on the lower level of the clubhouse, offering residents a well-equipped space to maintain an active lifestyle. The facility features a variety of cardio and strength-training equipment, including treadmills, elliptical runners, free weights, and additional gym equipment to support a full range of workouts — all just steps from home.

Dog approved dog park with wide open space for four-legged residents to run, play ball, tug-of-war, and catch up with their neighbors! They have their own clubs too! Beautiful sunset views from the dog park makes an evening pup meetup a wonderful way to end the day.

Adventure awaits just minutes from Grand Highlands at Bearwallow Mountain. Just outside your gate you can enjoy miles of mountain hiking trails: Bearwallow Mountain Trailhead, Trombatore Trailhead, all connected to the HIckory Nut Gorge Trail Network. The Hickory Nut Gorge State Trail is an emerging trail network envisioned to extend over 100 miles, connecting dramatic landmarks and encircling Lake Lure, with more than 38 miles of trails already open to the public.
